FISHINN at ITECHMER 2025 – Roundtable: Towards a new dynamic for fishing portsFrom capture to processing, from shipbuilding to marketing, including R&D, training, governance and port management, Itechmer gathers all the key players and promotes international exchanges.
The FISHINN project will be represented at the 16th edition of Itechmer, the leading French trade fair for the fishing sector, taking place in Lorient, 15–17 October 2025.
🎤 Roundtable 3: “Reinventing fishing ports: innovation, governance and new services”
📍 Moderated by DIMER – Brittany Region
On behalf of the consortium, Technopole Quimper-Cornouaille (TQC) will intervene with a focus on the port of Saint Guénolé, the French reference port within FISHINN.
Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique (PMBA) will provide communication support to help disseminate the project’s messages and highlight the role of innovation and governance in the future of fishing ports.
Other roundtable speakers include:
- Région Bretagne (DIMER or elected representative): new governance models and strategic vision for fishing ports in Brittany, including port companies.
- Rozenn Le Vaillant (Technopole Quimper-Cornouaille): presentation of the European FISHINN project and complementary initiatives to strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of fishing ports.
- Yves Guirriec: addressing stakeholder engagement, the role of the GIE, and the rollout of Breizh Apport, a digital convergence initiative for fish auction halls.
