The FISHINN Project
The FISHINN project aims to increase the competitiveness and resilience of the ports that form four local fisheries ecosystems and value chains in the Atlantic Area. About the Handbook
Developed as part of the initiative, the FISHINN Handbook offers a comprehensive analysis of the current state of these fisheries. It is based on research conducted within four pilot ports, drawing from interviews, data collections, and field studies to provide a detailed diagnosis and characterisation of their ecosystems.
The handbook compiles key challenges, existing capacities, and opportunities for the renewal and diversification of local fisheries. By engaging directly with stakeholders, it offers valuable insights into the sector’s realities, helping fisheries professionals, policymakers, and local actors better understand industry dynamics and explore development strategies.
