WP1 : FISHERIES ECOSYSTEM CHARACTERISATION
- Diagnosis of 4 fisheries ecosystems (qualitative and quantitative characterisation)
- Description of value chains and identification of local challenges and opportunities
- Set up of local innovation forums to encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing and the development of innovative solutions
WP2 : MAPPING INNOVATION OPPORTUNITIES IN FISHING PORTS AND FISHERIES ECOSYSTEMS
- A map of existing innovation-based solutions in Europe to address main challenges that studied ecosystems, value chains and fishing ports are facing.
WP3 : INNOVATION ROADMAPPING
- Local innovation roadmaps to drive the transfer of innovation-based solutions with a 9-month programme
- Local innovation forums as innovation roadmap governance bodies.
These collaborative networks include knowledge centers, public authorities, the whole value chain and port authorities to :
- promote an integrated approach to different sectors of the blue economy
- improve the cooperation
- emphasize the potential for innovation
- increase the local stakeholders capacity for innovation
- stimulate new projects and new instruments on the responsible and sustainable use of natural resources
- move towards decarbonisation and circular economy
